This week, Yukon - A Wilder Place was released in the United States, and the largest U.S. daily newspaper, the Wall Street Journal, carried a great book review.

2011-12-09  National newspapers showcase new Yukon book
Yukon - A Wilder Place was on the Globe & Mail's Christmas gift book list. A review in the Montreal Gazette was also carried in Ottawa Citizen, Edmonton Journal and Victoria Times-Colonist, Winnipeg Free Press and Vancouver Sun also included the book on recommended holiday gift lists. Total circulation of newspapers that covered the book: over 1 million!

2011-11-24  FMP attends Canadian Tourism Awards in Ottawa
Teresa represented Fritz Mueller Photography at the awards gala in Ottawa alongside Yukon's other national award finalist, Neil Hartling of Nahanni River Adventures/Canadian River Expedions. Yukon Senator Dan Lang and Yukon MP Ryan Leef joined us at the event. Though we didn't win (but Neil won his category!) it was a huge honour to have our business - and the Yukon - showcased at this gala event.

2011-11-02 Yukon photo book hits bookstores
Last week our first book, Yukon - A Wilder Place published by Greystone, was released across Canada. Advance praise was humbling: thanks to Wade Davis, Karsten Heuer, Ted Harrison and Ed Struzik for their kind words. We are honoured that National Geographic photographer Sam Abell wrote the foreword. 2011-10-12  FMP is a national tourism award finalist
Fritz Mueller Photography is one of three finalists for the 2011 Corporate Partner of the Year award presented by Canada's national tourism association (TIAC). We love working with the tourism industry and are extremely honoured by this nomination.

2010-09-15 Mega-murals Kluane shoot

Parks Canada hired us to complete a shoot for an exciting new project: wall-size photo murals for their new visitor centre in Haines Junction. We’ve just wrapped up shooting the Front Range in fall colour.

Teamed up with our colleagues at Wildman Productions and won the contract to complete an extensive shoot across Nunavut: travelled 18,000 km to 6 communities in less than a month.

The whole family goes on assignment into the wilds of Northern British Columbia. Spent a week watching grizzlies fish for salmon on a tributary of the Taku River, with two 3-year-olds in tow. Who says family and wildlife photography don’t mix?

Canadian Geographic calls, and the next day we pack up two kids, one mutt, a couple of tents, heaps of gear and a bunch of camera equipment and head to Kluane National Park. Given the assignment – profiling the family-run Kluane Lake Research Station – we fit right in.

For Fritz Mueller Photography, 2009 was our year of Parks Canada. Not only did we do loads of shooting for them, they were a real pleasure to work with. Started last winter with a shoot at Kluane National Park, summertime shoot at the SS Klondike National Historic Site and an extensive shoot at Kluane through the summer.
